Porcelain Tile

Porcelain tile is similar to ceramic tile, but the clay used in porcelain tile is more highly refined and purified. As a result, porcelain tile is more dense and less likely to absorb moisture. Since porcelain tile is moisture resistant, it is a good choice for outdoor applications where freezing may occur. The moisture resistance also makes porcelain tile more durable and more resistant to staining. Porcelain tile is frequently used in floor applications and countertops because of its rugged nature.
